Pretend you're in a movie, honey.

Hi there! My name is Anna - I'm a wedding and portrait photographer that serves Vermont and the greater New England area. I've been a photographer for over twelve years and I specialize in both analog film (35mm, 120mm, Polaroid) and digital photography. While I shoot primarily weddings, I also do fine art, fashion, seniors and boudoir - and I love every unique project that comes my way.

To me, photography is a storytelling medium. I understand the discipline of anticipating moments and capturing them as they happen. I always want my photographs to feel like they're breathing and full of emotion. I approach my photography like a director making a film - I'm capturing a story. Your story.

We'd be a good fit if . . .

You love photographs that tell a story and like a mix of photos that are candid and (slightly) posed. Most of the time, I just capture clients doing their thing and I follow along giving some pointers here and there if you ever start to feel stuck or awkward. Being on camera can be intimidating, so I got you. I've worked with hundreds of people over the course of my career so I know how to help my client's pose and feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Pro Tip : I've found that playing music on your phone helps when posing. Everybody feels like the star of their own movie when they've got a soundtrack going. :)

Testimonials

“Working with Anna for our wedding photos was such a treat! She was extremely responsive and friendly from the get-go, and made us feel at ease. She went above and beyond to help with last minute touches (even as we were getting ready!!) and was so easy to work with during our event. Her photography captured stunning moments of both the landscape and buildings at our venue (something we were looking for), but also captured our personalities and our guests emotions the whole day.”

“Anna is an absolute gem. Easily the BEST decision I made during my entire wedding planning. She photographed my tiny New England wedding on both film and digital. She has a unique style and a vision. I look at her as an artist, and I felt comfortable leaving a lot of the artistic direction to her. She’s also easygoing and just plain fun to be around, which made it enjoyable to have her around for the weekend!”

“Anna was incredible!!!! I chose her as our Wedding photographer when I was planning a wedding from out of state, and couldn't find anyone who's style and value worked for my now husband and I, and then we found Anna via Thumbtack. She was responsive and so easy to work with when planning the details for the day. I am so thankful she agreed to photograph our 50 person wedding, she truly was a calming presence and always seemed to be in the right spot.”

We had a very informative session via zoom to get to know each other and for her to ask us questions so she can customize the photo package. The photos came in very quickly and great quality. FAQ

Do you do large weddings?

My experience with weddings is for celebrations with less than 200 people. I specialize in intimate weddings and elopements, however I work with second shooters to handle bigger celebrations.

Do I get all the raws?

No - I carefully cull through my photographs and pick the very best ones to edit and give to you. Typically, weddings yield about approx. 45-50 photographs per hour of the event. You also get a copyright extension to print the photos for your own personal use.

How long does it take to get photos back?

For weddings, I give my couples a preview, and then the full wedding session is delivered within 6-8 weeks.

Do you know of cool locations for engagement sessions?

Yes I do! I love location scouting. Based on your personality and aesthetic, I have a ton of places that can match your desired mood from ocean scapes to tucked away gardens and even abandoned castles and unique off beat locations!

Do you have insurance?

I do! Many venues require a COI (certificate of insurance) to shoot on their property which I have.

What is your shooting style?

I love capturing candids or setting up shots that look like they could be a still from a movie. My style is very cinematic and romantic.

Do you shoot analog film?

I do! I shoot with 35mm, 120mm and vintage Polaroid cameras. I work with Indie Film Lab for processing and scanning and then I deliver the digital scans to you via your final gallery. Turnaround time for film is around 2-3 weeks.

Do you shoot LGBTQ+ Weddings?

ABSOLUTELY.
